Dreaming of Holidays is a colourful, fun and slightly kitsch reduction lino cut inspired by the colourful pools and mid-century vibe of Palm Springs. The artwork features a vibrant poolside scene with bold pinks, cool blues and a pop of yellow from the sun lounger. Strong shadows and reflections add a dreamy, holiday feel. Each print is hand-pulled using oil-based inks on 300gsm Fabriano Rosaspina paper. Dreaming of Holidays , is a one plate reduction Linocut, hand made print. A process which uses traditional art technique and creates a limited production of multiple prints. Each print begins as a carving on a piece of Lino. Every time a colour is printed more lino is carved away. The plate ends up with nothing left and so the edition can never be reprinted.
