A fairer place to sell original art.
Art Collective is a marketplace for original art from independent artists, built in the UK. We’re new, we’re pre-launch, and we’re pitched on a fair split and artist-first control.
Why we built this
Independent artists have more ways than ever to show their work online, and fewer places that feel built for them. Marketplaces that started indie kept slipping — higher commissions, forced discounts, imposed minimum prices, fulfilment rules that don’t fit one-off original pieces. At the other end, building a solo site is a job in itself, and no single site brings the collector traffic that a marketplace does.
Art Collective is our attempt at the middle. A marketplace that behaves more like a platform: transparent pricing, tools that feel like they’re on your side, and artists setting their own rules inside a trusted shared front door for collectors.
What we believe
A fair split matters more than a clever discount. We charge a flat 10% commission on paid plans (15% on Free) — and nothing else. No inflated shipping, no relist fees, no “premium placement” charges. You keep what you priced.
Artists should control the commercial surface of their work. You set the price. You set the shipping. You pick the countries you ship to. We don’t nudge you into sales, we don’t apply platform-wide discounts to your listings, and we don’t set minimum prices.
Collector confidence is earned with the quiet things — a 14-day return window, payouts that release after delivery is confirmed, a support team that actually replies. Trust shouldn’t have to be loud.
Where we are
We’re in pre-launch. Artists can register, build their gallery, connect Stripe, and list their work today. Collectors can register and browse, but checkout is not yet open — orders open at public launch, and the first 100 artists to sign up keep their Starter plan free for life.
We’d rather say that than pretend. A pre-launch site is an obvious thing to be honest about.
